We provide quality healthcare and services regardless of a client’s insured status, economic circumstances or immigration status. We actively include those who experience unique barriers to healthcare access including mono-lingual Spanish speakers, youth, racial/ethnic/cultural communities and people with disabilities.
Every Woman Counts (EWC) provides free breast and cervical cancer screening and diagnostic services to California’s underserved populations. The mission of EWC is to save lives by preventing and reducing the devastating effects of cancer for Californians through public and provider education, early detection, diagnosis, case management, and integrated preventive services. EWC is part of the Department of Health Care Services’ Cancer Detection and Treatment Branch (CDTB).
The Office of Family Planning (OFP) is charged by the California Legislature “to make available to citizens of the State who are of childbearing age comprehensive medical knowledge, assistance, and services relating to the planning of families”. The purpose of family planning is to provide women and men a means by which they can decide for themselves the number, timing, and spacing of their children.
