Community Partners
Tehama County Health Services Agency serves as the Medical Health Operational Area Coordinator and works with departments and agencies within the county to plan, respond and help in recovery efforts. This includes coordinating medical and health related information resources with law enforcement, fire departments, emergency medical services, hospitals, healthcare facilities, and others when disaster strikes.
As part of the public health emergency preparedness program we work closely with agencies throughout the region to plan, prepare and train for disaster response.
Community Partners
Sierra Sacramento Valley Emergency Services Agency, also known as, S-SV EMS Agency was founded in 1975 and serves as the regional EMS agency for the counties of Butte, Colusa, Glenn, Nevada, Placer, Shasta, Siskiyou, Sutter, Tehama, and Yuba. The ten counties have a combined static population of approximately 1,300,000.
Shasta- Tehama Health Care Coalition, also known as, HCC, is a voluntary coalition of health service-related organizations within Tehama and Shasta County. Examples of organizations include local hospitals, mental health facilities, outpatient clinics, and long-term care and hospice providers. The purpose of the partnership is to enhance the healthcare sectors ability to prepare for and respond to natural and man-made disasters. This is done through regular meetings, trainings, exercises and response to real events. These activities help to enhance both our counties capacity to respond when health facilities experience an increased volume of patients during times of disasters.
