Advisory Boards
Behavioral Health Advisory Board (BHAB)
The purpose of the Behavioral Health Board is to evaluate Tehama County’s mental health needs, services, facilities and special challenges. We also ensure that all duties established by California Welfare and Institutions Code (W&I) Section 5604 are met. We always have a representative from the Tehama County Board of Supervisors and the Tehama County Sheriff’s Department, additional members represent interested community members, agency representatives, consumers and family members of consumers who are receiving or have received mental health services.
Public Health Advisory Board (PHAB)
The purpose of the Public Health Advisory Board is to act as an advising body to the Tehama County Board of Supervisors, Health Services Agency Executive Director, Public Health Director and the Health Officer on public health issues, programs, services, and emergency preparedness. One of our primary roles is to assist the Public Health Center in prioritizing community wellness by assessing the adequacy and availability of health care services and programs, we also provide the Tehama County Board of Supervisors with an annual report.
