Tehama County Public health is committed to prevent illness in our community by providing immunizations and education regarding vaccine-preventable diseases.

According to the World Health Organization, immunization currently averts an estimated 2 to 3 million deaths every year. An additional 1.5 million deaths could be avoided if global vaccination coverage improved.Our agency offers a wide variety of childhood and adult immunizations following State and Federal recommendations on Immunization Practices recommendations.

Immunization Services & Eligibility

From flu shots to Mumps, Measles, and Rubella (MMR), a variety of vaccines are available to meet the needs of your family. To help you determine cost and eligibility contact us at 530-527-6824.

Children and adults may be eligible to receive vaccines based on certain requirements set by the state. Listed below are some of the requirements for our state supplied vaccines.

Serves children birth through 18 years of age (before 19th birthday) who are:

  • Medi-Cal/Child Health and Disability Prevention Program eligible.

Serves adults 19 years of age and older who are:

  • Uninsured (no health insurance)
  • Underinsured (eligible only if listed vaccines are not covered by insurance)

Serves children and adults of all ages

  • The flu vaccine is the primary vaccine offered by this fund.

A sliding scale fee that considers your income and household size will be used to cover the costs associated with administering the vaccine
