The Office of Family Planning – Family PACT is charged by the California Legislature to provide citizens of childbearing age access to comprehensive medical knowledge, assistance, and services related to family planning. The purpose of family planning is to provide individuals a means by which they can decide for themselves the number, timing, and spacing of their children.
Eligibility
- You must be a California resident
- Your income for your family size must be at or below 200% of the Federal Income Guidelines
- The client must have no other source of health care coverage for family planning services
- You must have a medical necessity for family planning services
- Age 12-55
- Persons under 18 are eligible to receive services without parental consent
Services
Every Woman Counts (EWC) provides free breast and cervical cancer screening and diagnostic services to California’s underserved populations. The mission of EWC is to save lives by preventing and reducing the devastating effects of cancer for Californians through public and provider education, early detection, diagnosis, case management, and integrated preventive services. EWC is part of the Department of Health Care Services’ Cancer Detection and Treatment Branch (CDTB).
