Public Health Division
The Tehama County Health Services Agency
Public Health Division is comprised of
professional staff including Public Health Nurses,
Registered Nurses, Health Educators,
Health Education Assistants, Drug
and Alcohol
Counselors, and Clerical Support.

Goals: |

- Prevent
the spread of disease and epidemics such as:
- Sexually-transmitted
diseases (STD)
- Childhood
illnesses
- Food
borne illnesses
- Hepatitis
- Rabies
- Tuberculosis

- Prevent injury
- Promote and encourage healthy behaviors
- Provide the community
with assistance during disasters
- Assure
the quality and accessibility of health
services
- Provide health education to individuals
and the community
- Provide case
management to identified target populations
- Refer
to other agencies, groups, or institutions
as needed
- Monitor community health status
to identify health problems
- Develop and
evaluate policies and plans to support
public health programs
- Help shape laws and
regulations that protect health and safety
