Purpose
 
  • The Bioterrorism/Disaster Preparedness program is guided and funded by the Centers for Disease Control (CDC) along with the California Department of Pubic Health (CDPH). An act of bioterrorism or a natural disaster requires an immediate and coordinated Public Health and Medical response. The CDPH and Public Health have developed plans (approved by CDC) to be implemented should an emergency occur.
     
  • Public Health and medical professionals from Region III counties, (Tehama, Butte, Shasta, Glenn, Colusa, Siskiyou, Modoc, Trinity, Lassen, Plumas, Sierra, Sutter
    and Yuba) joined together to strengthen emergency preparedness and response capabilities related to bioterrorism acts, natural disasters and infectious disease outbreaks.

  • Tehama County residents
 
     
  Who Provides the service?  
 
  • All State, City and County public employees are Disaster Service Workers
    and will respond as needed
  • Region III public health and medical professionals
  • Tehama County Interagency Mass Casualty Mobile Unit
