National Alcohol and Drug Addiction Recovery
Month
|
|
| |
September
has been set aside as the National Alcohol and Drug Addiction
Recovery Month. Recovery Happens is the statewide
campaign intended to celebrate the lives
of people who are recovering from alcohol and/or drug addiction.
The California
Association of Addiction Recovery Resources
(CAARR) has been responsible for the organization of Recovery
Happens and the
annual California Recovery Happens Month
Kick-Off Rally at the Capitol in September. |

|
| Recovery
Happens provides the perfect platform to inform Californians
about the positive effects that recovery / treatment programs
have upon our communities. |
| |
| |
Tehama County residents have been assisted with their drug
and alcohol problems for many years in various ways. This non-profit
event is designed to celebrate the success of treatment and
recovery with community members of all ages. |

The
Tehama County Drug and Alcohol Advisory Board hosts an Annual
Recovery Happens Picnic that is held on the third Saturday
in September at Red Bluff River Park. Thanks
to community support,
there are speakers, entertainment, booths,
music, and a free barbecue. |
