parenting men prepare for one
of their most important jobs
. . . being a DAD!
The
DADS program is made possible through
a grant
from Tehama County Children First
Commission (Tehama 1st Five)
and provides services to men
(i.e. fathers, step-fathers,
relatives, etc.) who have substance
abuse issues and are parenting
children 0 to 5 years of age. |

| |
| This
program consists of substance
abuse outpatient treatment, parent
education, parent/child lab,
case management, assessment,
individual and group sessions,
childcare, transportation, relapse
prevention, HIV testing and counseling,

of children will improve if these
same areas improve in their parents. |
| |
| DADS
parent education and parent/child
lab sessions are designed to
introduce fathers to the “best
practices” derived from
the latest research on early
childhood development. Activities
focus on emerging cognitive development
and healthy social / emotional
growth. This program is currently
offered only at the Red Bluff
Office. |
