Assessment Procedure

Adult Tehama County residents needing drug and
alcohol treatment services first need an initial assessment.
Assessments are offered on a first-come, first-served basis
and may take anywhere from one to three hours, so allow enough
time to complete this process. Please make arrangements to have
your children watched by someone else during this time. |

|
| Adult
assessments are done on a drop-in basis. |
| |
|
| |
- In
Red Bluff, drop-ins are offered on
Monday, Tuesday, Thursday and Friday. You
will need to arrive between the hours of 12:30 pm to 1:30 pm
to be able to be seen.
|
|
| |
- In
Corning, drop-ins are offered on Mondays and the
1st and 3rd Wednesday of each month. You will need to arrive
at the Corning Office between the 1:00 pm and 1:30 pm to be
able to be seen.

| |
You will need to bring the following documents:
(
1) Proof of income, and (2) Referral paperwork
(if applicable). Proof of income can consist
of tax returns, a month's worth
of paycheck stubs, notice of acceptance
or denial of cash aid, disability, etc.,
prison or jail release papers, etc. If you
are married, you will need to bring in
proof of income for your spouse as well
as your own. |

If
you have been discharged from treatment
within the last three months prior to completing
services, you will need to bring in proof
of attendance at 16 community support meetings
and a re-referral
from your referring
agency in order to be assessed. |

Adolescents
needing drug and alcohol treatment services,
or anyone referring an adolescent for
treatment services, can call the numbers
listed below to schedule an assessment
appointment.
