Adolescent
Outpatient Treatment Program
|
| |
The
Adolescent Outpatient Treatment Program is designed specifically
for youth ages twelve to eighteen or nineteen who are attending
school or are being home-schooled. Tehama County youth fitting
this criteria and who have been identified as having drug or alcohol
use/abuse and or addiction issues are eligible for these services.
This program provides assessments, prevention, early education,
group and individual counseling, case management, transportation
and treatment. |

Drug
and Alcohol Division also provides the following outreach services:
|

| |
|
1.
|
Juvenile
Hall
The Substance Abuse Mental Health Services Act (SAMHSA) funds staff
who are stationed part time at Juvenile Hall providing such services
as case management, counseling, referrals, etc. |
|

|
2.
|
School-Based
Educational Classes
Consists of educational and topical groups, individual counseling
for students at specific school sites and individual counseling at
high school and middle schools countywide. |
|
| |
|
|
3.
|
School-based
support groups for children living in homes with alcohol
and other drug problems. This service is currently offered at
a limited number of schools with the potential to expand to other
school sites. |
|

|
|
4.
|
Prevention
Services
These services are provided in collaboration with Tehama
County Department of Education and Drug and Alcohol staff work with
Prevention Project staff to facilitate prevention activities in schools
throughout Tehama County and include Tobacco Awareness and Keep Off
the Grass (Marijuana) Classes. |
|

| |
Tehama
County Drug and Alcohol Division has received a grant from Catholic
Healthcare West to provide adolescents with incentives to encourage
them to attend and complete treatment. Incentives include scholarships,
gift certificates, passes for various entertainment, etc. |
